Gordon Umialiloalahanauokalakaua King Kai has worked in the visitor industry for over 40 years and is currently the Sales and Marketing Manager of Avis and Budget Car Rentals in Hawai‘i. In high school, he learned to craft Hawaiian items out of curiosity and need, eventually becoming a renowned Hawaiian implement maker. He fashions implements for fishing, kapa making, poi pounding, hula, and farming, and he is best known for his traditional weaponry. Mr. Kai shares his knowledge and experiences with people locally and internationally, and he makes presentations regularly at schools, hotels, and organizations.
